Financial Transparency

Our Finance Team

Led by a qualified Director of Finance & Administration (CPA, MBA), our finance department works closely with project accountants and program managers to ensure effective stewardship of donor funds and compliance with IFRS, IPSAS, and Tanzanian NGO regulations.

Financial Systems & Controls

We use Tally accounting software for daily transaction recording and real-time tracking. Segregation of duties, proper authorization protocols, and multi-level payment verification minimize risk. Monthly bank reconciliations are reviewed by management, and quarterly financial reports go to the Board’s Finance & Audit Committee for independent oversight.

Reporting & Compliance

Annual financial statements are externally audited, with findings presented at the Annual General Assembly. We comply with donor-specific reporting formats and deadlines, ensuring that partners and funders have full visibility into the use of resources.

Integrity & Whistleblowing

PDF maintains a whistleblowing mechanism allowing staff, partners, or community members to confidentially report misuse of funds or ethical breaches. Reported cases are reviewed by senior management and the Board, with corrective action taken promptly.

MISSION

To uplift marginalized communities across Tanzania, providing them with the resources, support, and opportunities needed to realize their full potential. Since our inception in 2010, we have been dedicated to addressing the systemic challenges faced by these communities through strategic interventions in key areas such as child protection, WASH, agriculture and climate change mitigation, health promotion, and economic empowerment. Our commitment to advocacy, collaboration, and innovation drives our efforts to create sustainable solutions and foster positive change. By empowering individuals and building resilient communities, we aim to contribute to the creation of a more just and equitable society where every person has the opportunity to thrive.

VISION

To create a Tanzania where marginalized individuals and communities are empowered to lead dignified and fulfilling lives, free from poverty, oppression, and injustice. We envision a future where children are protected and nurtured, where access to clean water and sanitation is universal, where agriculture is sustainable and resilient to climate change, where health services are accessible and of high quality, and where economic opportunities are abundant and inclusive. Through our collective efforts, we aspire to be catalysts for social transformation, driving systemic change and shaping a brighter future for generations to come.
